It was the summer of 1987 when two young Californian surfers, aka Mike Fischer and Rob Bradford, left for the Mexican peninsula, looking for kind waves and freedom. To celebrate this experience destined to radically change their lives, the two lived in Scorpion Bay, a surfing and lifestyle brand inspired by the colors and emotions of their unrepeatable journey to the legendary bay of San Juanico.
From that Road Trip the aesthetic of a brand was born who, with its stylistic features of Mexican Calacas and references to Aztec culture, has become one of the most iconic for young American surfers in a few years. This led the brand, at the dawn of the nineties, to land first in Italy and then throughout Europe.
35 years after that journey, Scorpion Bay starts from Los Angeles and California to return to celebrate the freedom to be oneself, with a countryside-browns entitled 'Free to Be'. Campaign that will not only be limited to telling stories of creators and riders that still bring high the free and wild spirit of the brand but which aims to give voice and prominence to all the communities of free spirits that in the States as in the rest of the world are looking for the 'Mas Fina' wave.
The return to California represents a return to the origins and to those values of freedom and creativity that characterize the brand. Values enhanced in a collection made of og graphics and fit, fell from the archive more than thirty years of the brand.
From here, today, six themes are born 'Van Life, Beach, Ritual, Hollywood, Graffiti and Tattoo', from which the new Spring Summer 2023 collection takes inspiration for the creation of t-shirts, hoodies, crewneck, knitting garments, over shirt, cargo pants, jeans, inevitable costumes and accessories.
Each theme presents its own identity peculiarities, proposing prints and colors that differ from each other according to the world they want to express, using the tones of the sea, the land and the art of street art, to return to waving the banner of the brand born in the bay of the Scorpions high.
